who we are

our story

In 2022, a devoted husband and father, Jared Bridegan, was tragically murdered in front of his two-year-old daughter, Bexley, who was securely strapped in her car seat. Having witnessed the violent loss of her father, Bexley spent hours in the care of local police officers before being reunited with her mother. Despite the officers' compassionate efforts, they lacked the basic supplies (like diapers, snacks, or a comforting toy) to ease her distress in that moment.

This heartbreaking experience inspired Bexley's mother, Kirsten Bridegan, to create the Bexley Box: a carefully curated kit filled with essential necessities and soothing comfort items for very young children facing trauma. With generous community support, Kirsten began delivering these boxes to law enforcement agencies in Florida. The initiative quickly gained momentum and has now expanded to agencies in multiple states.

Our goal is simple yet powerful: to ensure every law enforcement agency has access to Bexley Boxes so no child has to endure crisis without immediate comfort. We invite you to join us in honoring Bexley's resilience, and her father's memory, by helping change the trajectory for other young victims through this vital resource.
